Open Access and Article Processing Charge (APC)

All articles published in Proceedings of the Technical University of Sofia (ISSN: 2738-8530, ISSN: 2738-8549) are published in full open access.

In order to provide free access to readers and to cover the costs of peer review, copyediting, and typesetting, an article processing charge (APC) applies as follows:

30 EUR without VAT for staff of the Technical University of Sofia;
36 EUR (20% VAT included) for all other authors.

The APC is charged only for papers accepted for publication.

The APC must normally be paid within 7 calendar days of notification of acceptance. If additional time is required, the corresponding author should contact the Editorial Board before the payment deadline.

Publication of the article may be postponed until payment of the APC has been received and confirmed.

Important:

The APC must be paid only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication and normally within 7 calendar days of notification of acceptance.

After acceptance and payment of the APC, the author must send a copy of the payment document or other proof of payment to the Editor-in-Chief.

Publication may be postponed until the payment has been received and confirmed.

The authors must cover all bank transfer charges.

The name of the corresponding author and Proceedings of the Technical University of Sofia (PTUS) must be stated in the payment reference.
