Proceedings of the Technical University of Sofia

The Proceedings of the Technical University of Sofia, hereafter referred to as the Proceedings, continues a tradition of scientific publishing at the Technical University of Sofia spanning more than seven decades.

Earlier volumes of the journal were published under ISSN 0374-342X and subsequently under ISSN 1311-0829. Since June 2021, the current ISSNs of the Proceedings are ISSN 2738-8530 for the print edition and ISSN 2738-8549 for the online edition.

Since 2020, published articles have been assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) registered through Crossref.

The Proceedings is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Technical University of Sofia. Its purpose is to disseminate original scientific and applied research, promote the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and provide a forum for researchers, academics, engineers, and other professionals to present and discuss new results, methods, developments, and practical applications.

The journal supports scientific communication across different fields of research and encourages the exchange of experience between the academic community and professional practice. By making research results accessible to a wider scientific and professional audience, the Proceedings aims to contribute to the development, visibility, and practical application of scientific knowledge.

The journal publishes research in the fields of engineering and technology, natural sciences, mathematics, informatics, economics, management, and education. Articles are published in English and Bulgarian languages.

The Proceedings is published quarterly and is available online. A limited print edition is also produced for institutional and reference purposes.

The journal is managed by an Editorial Board consisting of the Editor-in-Chief, Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board Members, and Associate Editors responsible for the different subject areas.

Submitted manuscripts undergo initial editorial screening and, when suitable for consideration, are assigned to an Associate Editor and evaluated by independent reviewers. The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on publication on the basis of the reviewers' reports, the authors' revisions, and the recommendation of the responsible Associate Editor.

The journal is included in the National Reference List of Contemporary Bulgarian Scientific Publications with Scientific Review, maintained by NACID, under ID No. 4884.
