Abstract: A two-phase switching-mode dc-dc converter with Zero Voltage Switching (ZVS) is presented in this paper designed on CMOS 0.35 µm technology with Cadence. The losses in the main power transistors are evaluated. The investigation results show that when ZVS technique is used, the efficiency of the whole system could be increased by about 3% compared to the standard two-phase dc-dc converter architecture.
