Title: ASSESSMENT OF THE ACCURACY OF COLOR RENDERING OF TONER-BASED DIGITAL PRINTERS USING SOFT-PROOFS AND VISUAL COMPARISONS

Abstract: Normal production practice in digital printing is after proper calibration, characterization, profiling of each color laser printer and possible evaluation of the generated individualized color profiles to start printing real design projects directly. A modification of the process is applied in the present study - specialized test pages have been printed and analyzed instead of real design projects. The article shows the results of a color toner printer study using a soft-proofing method and subsequent visual comparison of actually printed test pages to evaluate its color rendering quality.
