   Abstract
   This invited talk examines overall telecommunication systems consisting of users (people and electronic devices),
a telecommunication network, and their natural and socio-economic environment. Information services of different
kind are provided between users through such systems. The purpose of the presented research is to predict both
the delivered quality of service (QoSD) and the experienced quality of service (QoSE). Developed approaches
are presented in detail, including: (i) New factors for modeling QoSD and QoSE in overall telecommunication systems;
(ii) The use of intuitionistic fuzzy estimates of traffic quality; (iii) An advanced service stage concept serving as the basis
for scalable, technologically independent modelling of the performance of overall telecommunication systems;
(iv) Modeling of induced and suppressed service requests; (v) Causal scalability of the relationship between traffic
quality and user responses.
