Title: Selection of an Option for Connecting Wind Power Farms to a Medium Voltage Distribution Grid Keywords: distribution grid, medium voltage, wind farmsAbstract: The report examines issues related to different options for connecting a group of wind farms to a mediumvoltage electricity grid: connection with a single power line, with a double power line, as well as using majority redundancy. The criteria for selecting an option for connecting a group of wind farms to the electricity grid are presented. A methodology for assessing the economic and reliability-related indicators is developed. A numerical experiment is conducted to determine the economic and reliability indicators for the three different options of connecting wind farms to a specific electrical grid.
