A series of measurements were conducted to evaluate the engine’s brake power and torque across a range of engine speeds, with particular focus on the effects of CNG supplementation. For example, at 1500 min–1, the introduction of CNG increased the engine brake power from 1.7 to 2.97 kW and torque from 16.2 to 28.3 N m, corresponding to an improvement of approximately 75%. Similar performance enhancements were observed at higher engine speeds, with power and torque gains consistently ranging between 73 and 75%, and the CNG contribution, expressed by the coefficient K which indicates the relative contribution of CNG to the total fuel mixture, maintained within a comparable range. These results underscore the potential of CNG-diesel dual-fuel operation to significantly enhance engine performance while ensuring efficient combustion, suggesting that this approach may serve as a viable alternative for improving power output and overall engine efficiency.
