Title: Quantitative Assessment of Throwing Hand Skin Temperature in Female Handball Players Using Infrared Thermography during Training
Keywords: handball, infrared thermography, skin temperature, thermal imaging, thermal response, throwing hand

Abstract: This study investigates changes in the skin temperature of the throwing hand in female handball players during training, utilizing infrared thermography. Ten athletes were observed at three intervals: prior to training, after 20 throws, and after 40 throws. Thermal data were gathered from five anatomical regions using an infrared camera. The mean temperature, variance, skewness, and kurtosis were determined for each region and time point. Most areas exhibited stable or slightly elevated temperatures, while the index finger displayed the greatest variability when under load. Infrared thermography has proven to be a reliable technique for capturing localized physiological responses during athletic activities.
