Title: Analysis of the Influence of Output Capacitance in a Buck-Boost DC-DC Converter Keywords: buck-boost converter, DC-DC converters, design, energy efficiencyAbstract: In the presented paper, a study of a step-down DC-DC converter was performed. Three different values of the output capacitance were used. A mathematical model was implemented in MATLAB/Simulink. The frequency response of the system was analyzed using Bode plots for different converter configurations. The influence of output capacitance variations on the stability and dynamic performance of the system was investigated. Three different bus configurations were considered, each of which was tested with capacitance values of 1mF, 1.8mF and 3.3mF, which allows a comparative assessment of their influence on the resonant frequencies, gain and system behavior. The analysis showed that increasing the output capacitance leads to a downward shift in the resonant frequencies and a decrease in the amplitude of high-frequency oscillations, which improves the stability of the system. The results emphasize the importance of careful selection of the output capacitance to balance the dynamic response, stability and filtering efficiency in DC-DC converters. References - E.
