Title: Approaches To Virtual Prototype Validation of Drop Tests Keywords: Abstract: This study is aimed at exploring approaches to drop testing of different objects in various fields. Physical and virtual procedures have been studied, comparing different methods, how they influence the results and the test accuracy. The main emphasis of this study is to evaluate approaches to virtual drop test validation, proposing best practices based on the current state of technology, thus enhancing processes that depend on this type of testing through reducing time and effort, increasing accuracy and providing a greater insight of the test subjects behavior. Conclusions can be implemented into planning and conducting drop tests for the goals of developing new products, testing existing products or processes and evaluating safety compliance with relevant requirements.
