Title: Numerical Analysis of an Impact System for Non-invasive Medical Aesthetics Tool Keywords: Abstract: Presented study aims to demonstrate numerical analysis application in engineering practice. It is directed towards assessment of damage that occurs in a non-invasive medical aesthetics tool. Examined damage is mainly due to the impact process that is essential to proper work of the device. Performed analysis uses a virtual prototype and explicit dynamic numerical analysis to review in detail loads and stresses in design components during the impact. Design “bottle neck” is identified and design corrections are proposed. Modified design is evaluated too and final decision is taken. This work is a good sample for practical application of numerical analysis and virtual prototyping and demonstrates a specific and complex field as impact analysis. References - V. I.
