Title: Algorithm for Expert Analysis of the Mechanism of the Occurrence of a Traffic Accident Involving a Car and a Pedestrian
Keywords:

Abstract: In the current research, the authors propose an algorithm for expert investigation of the mechanism of the occurrence of a traffic accident involving a car and a pedestrian, implemented in the Microsoft Excel® environment. This approach provides the opportunity to quickly analyze database. When conducting an expert analysis, the main objectives are to determine the place of impact, the mutual position of the participants at the moment of impact and the speed of movement of the vehicle involved in the accident. When developing the algorithm, theorems from mechanics and input parameters are used, which were determined during the inspection of the accident site. After carrying out a scientific and technical analysis to determine the factual situation, with the help of the determined parameters according to the proposed algorithm, a reconstruction of the road traffic accident occurred was carried out, which answers a variety of questions, posed by the investigative body.
