Title: Anonymization Techniques for Privacy Preservation in eLearning
Keywords: Security and privacy, Systems security, Distributed system

Abstract: Modern eLearning environments are characterized by tools to track learner behavior and collect large amount of data. This data is often used to perform various analyzes by the environment itself or may be provided to a third party to receive, for example, information about student performance. The processed data and obtained statistics can always be subject to attacks by malicious persons in order to reveal specific identities of certain learners or to find sensitive data. Therefore, various algorithms are applied to protect privacy, and they also use anonymization techniques. The purpose of the paper is to summarize possible techniques for data anonymization and to demonstrate one of their applications suitable for implementation in eLearning environments.
