Integration with information technology enables the creation of a new type of virtual-mechanical standards with new capabilities and characteristics. The choice of mathematical models for interpolation is essential to achieve the accuracy required for the measurement.The paper presents an analysis and study of a mathematical model for interpolation and approximation of elements of a virtual-mechanical standard for straightness by means of Fourier analysis.
