Title: Enhanced dielectric barrier discharge system for plasma surface modification
Keywords: barrier discharge

Abstract: The newly createdtriode dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma systemis used in a new technological processpractice,[1],combiningplasma surface activation (functionalization) throughsurfaceoxidationandporous mediaimpregnationwithphosphor containing flame retardant solutionfor protection offlammablematerialsandproducts[2]. Polymer(wood)largeareaproducts–wood floors, wainscoting, plywood, woodand cardboard sets, pressed cardboard, pasteboard, carpeting(polypropylene, polyamide),carpets and so on,are processed. All types of horizontal, vertical and overhead surfaces are processed in the production lineoroutside it,the protective solution being applied after plasmachemical surface activation by allknown andaccessible ways-spill,brush or spray[1]. Half-opened technological plasma system,fig.1,allowshandling of large area surfacesbyits sequential'step by step'movement. This is indirect(remote)surface plasma processingwith chemicalactiveparticles, produced within the plasma field.
