Title: Battery Choice According to Weather Conditions of a Hybrid System Designed for a Single-Family House in Bulgaria Keywords: battery energy storage , cost benefit analysis , hybrid powe Abstract: The study presented in this paper focuses on a hybrid "solar photovoltaic-wind turbine generator-battery electric storage" system designed for a single-family house in three different Bulgarian districts. The hybrid power system was based on Li-Ion (lithium-ion) and PbO 2 (lead-acid) batteries. The energy system includes two types of renewable energy sources (RES): solar photovoltaics and wind turbine generators. The solar generator had a fixed power of 5.5 kilowatts. The number of wind generators, the quantity of batteries (strings), and the dispatch technique for the complete power system have all been optimized. The optimization was done through the HOMER software product. The parameter of this optimization was the minimum value of the cost of electric energy (€/kWh). The obtained results have proved that the geographical location on the Bulgarian territory has a significant impact on the choice of RES. The results demonstrate that the hybrid power system using lithium-ion batterie References Issue
