Abstract: The materials from which food packaging and their processing technology are made are of particular importance for maintaining food quality and indirectly influence on human health. Another important problem is the recycling and degradation of packaging and its impact on the environment. The purpose of this report is to analyze current EU legislation and to identify guidelines for its improvement. This analysis and findings made can be used as guidelines for developing legislation in this area and updating food packaging technology)
