Abstract: The paper deals with the optimal control synthesis for a class of linear time-optimal control problems of decreasing order. The state-space properties and relationships between two neighbouring problems within this class are studied. Based on these properties, a new approach is proposed for synthesis of time-optimal control, requiring no description of the switching hyper-surface. The approach consists of two main stages: first, the problems of state spaces are analysed, and then the optimal control is obtained by using a multi-stage procedure within the class of problems under consideration.
