Title: Algorithm for selection of passive harmonics filters

Abstract: The use of power resonant filters (PRF or only filters) is one of the ways to reduce the distribution and impact of harmonics of current and voltage in power supply systems of industrial plants. The design of the filters is strictly individual and complex task for any power supply system (PSS). In this paper an algorithm has been developed that can be followed in the selection of the filters, taking into account the specifics of each PSS and using its adequate software model. Example and results of the algorithm implementation for a specific PSS have been shown. Methodical peculiarities in the algorithm implementation for any other power supply system have been described.
