Title: Modern aspects of the digitalization in distribution systems
Keywords: digitalisation distribution systems, internet of things (IoT

Abstract: Forecasts and observed trends worldwide are to significantly increase the demand and use of electricity. This leads to the need to solve two main problems: the increase the production of electricity in the aspect of its decarbonizing (introduction of low-carbon technologies) and the development of electricity networks. The common basis for the development of electrical networks is their digitalization, since all modern technologies require it. The report examines the following digital technologies that can help change the way electricity is used through the development of distribution networks: information and communication technologies; encrypted smart sensors and meters; big data and Artificial Intelligence (AI); Internet of Things (IoT); Smart Grids.
