Abstract: Establishment of uniform and predictable terms of free movement of products on the markets of the member states in European Union is a difficult task for its management bodies and for the producers and surveillance structures in these states. Complicated problems of assurance of market safety for free movement of products in European Economic Area (EEA) are analyzed in the report and possible solutions are proposed. Substantial difficulties are created due to vast amount of requirements, provisions and norms defined in the product directives and standards harmonized with them. Their implementation by the producers and surveillance structures will be significantly facilitated providing they are systemized and arranged in a data base of appropriate information system. The purpose of this report is to present the initial results of the work of the authors on the systematization of the data.
