Title: Shape determination of conductive objects by eddy currents
Keywords: Inverse problem; Magnetic field; Non-destructive testing

Abstract: n this paper we present an electromagnetic inverse approach for 3D surface shape reconstruction of metal rubes and tube connections. The approach is based on measuring of the eddy currents induced in rube wall by inductive sensor. The 3D shape reconstruction is made by the field of calculated local lift-offs between the measurement coil and scanned object. The application of this approach is in eddy current nondestructive testing, for determination of irregular shapes or for surface defect localization. 3D vector model of scanned object with or without defect can be achieved as output of this approach.
