Title: ALGORITHM, USED IN THE INVESTIGATION OF PREVENTION OF A TRAFFIC ACCIDENT WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF A PEDESTRIAN Keywords: road traffic accident, automobile, pedestrian, velocity, dan Abstract: The intensive development of road transport in recent decades has helped the society to meet its everincreasing need of vehicles, on the one hand, but it has also led to a number of negative consequences, associated with the occurrence of road traffic accidents, on the other hand. In this regard, the problems, concerning traffic safety, and the tasks for their solution are the subject of in-depth research and analysis. This requires the use of adequate approaches in the study of the causes, conditions and factors which contribute to the occurrence of road accidents. In the present research the author proposes an approach for solving problems, related to the study of the possibilities for prevention of a traffic accident with a pedestrian. The application of this approach can be further used for solving various tasks, related to determining the basic parameters needed to establish the actual mechanism and the causes of an accident.
