Title: Study of electrical insulation in the presence of heterogeneous inclusions

Abstract: The paper presents some results, obtained from numerical modelling and experimental investigation of processes in electrical insulation. Special attention was paid to the electric field distribution and its deformation in case of heterogeneous inclusions presence. The electric field of a system of two electrodes with dielectric between them has been studied using 3D FEM modeling with COMSOL 5.2 software. Different dielectrics are used - air, oil and their combination with insulating paper and various inclusions have been placed in the dielectric. For verification of the numerically obtained results the system was studied also experimentally.
