Abstract: This paper represents the usability strategy for web portal development of Bulgarian Cultural and Historical Heritage and exhibits all the necessary guidelines for accessibility that needs to be comprehended. The output of that strategy should be a fully-fledged plan supporting the needs of all potential users, whether they are physically disabled (e.g., color-blind users) or users they are encountering situational difficulties. The backbone of this strategy will be based on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and usability studies with people using assistive technologies by Kara Pernitz and Jakob Nielsen. This will provide coherence by considering the defined guidelines and real-life case scenarios.
