Title: Thyristor Modules for Electronic Converters Intended for Increased Voltage

Abstract: This paper describes the design specifics of the control and voltage distribution of thyristors connected in series and the construction features of integrating into a medium-voltage power converter. The paper shows the feasibility of the solutions and their implementation in the design of a three-phase rectifier working at increased voltage. The results, construction and implementation of thyristor modules made with thyristors connected in series were realized into a rectifier type BELA HV-6500 / 30A manufactured by the R&D center at TV-Sofia, Scientific Applied Laboratory for Contactless Electrical Appliances “BELA”.
