Title: Modelling and research of high-efficiency converter for energy storage systems

Abstract: The following paperwork considers modelling and examination of a high-efficiency converter for charging applications in energy storage systems. The converter provides galvanic isolation between the charged storage elements and the supplying DC bus. The high efficiency is due to the circuit soft-switching operation, as well as, to the implementation of a synchronous rectifier as an output stage. Characteristics of the converter operation are obtained. The opportunities for charging current control and voltage balancing between the individual cells are investigated. The obtained simulation results are verified by experimental examinations.
