Title: Modeling for Thermographic Detection of Subsurface Defects above Different Thickness Keywords: Active infrared thermography; Infrared thermal imaging; 3D t Abstract: This article presents the results of a study of the effect of tested object thickness on its hidden defects detection by active thermography. A 3D digital active thermography simulation is used for a preliminary study of objects with different types of geometry and materials. The performed experimental checks show confirmation of the simulation results with an error below 10 %. The research approach for greater clarity is illustrated with the all results for one chosen object. References Issue
