Title: Starting Regime of an Electronic Startup Regulating Apparatus for Fluorescent Lamps

Abstract: It has been studied the starting regime of an electronic startup regulating apparatus (ESRA) with specialized integrated circuit which provides regulation of the starting process. The study is carried out at different regimes of two fluorescent lamps. It has been studied also a mode of an unidirectional conductivity of the FL. The parameters of the ESRA were determined using the software product “Ballast Designer” of International Rectifier Company. There were performed simulation studies within the PSpice programme environment for specific intervals of the FL’s starting mode. The current and voltage of the FL were determined during the different stages of electrodes’ heating.
