Abstract: The restrictions due to COVID-19 (March-June 2020) necessitated the interruption of the educational process in the Bulgarian schools. The unusual situation related to the pandemic situation necessitated the introduction of e- learning (distant) in the country. In connection with this, a reorganization was needed both in the form of organization in schools and in teaching methods. The participants in the educational process in Bulgaria - teachers, students, principals, parents, had to go through a big change. The article presents the results of a survey among first-year students (former last year high school students in 2019-2020) with different profiles - engineering and natural sciences / methodologists. During e-learning, they were at the end of their school education, on the threshold of state matriculation exams. The survey was conducted in September 2020 with over 300 first-year students at the Technical University - Sofia and Sofia University.
