Title: Sensitivity study of oxidation models in QUENCH-12 experiment simulations with RELAP/SCDAPSIM mod3.5+IUA
Keywords: QUENCH , simulation modeling , sensitivity study , oxidation

Abstract: Accurate prediction of the amount of hydrogen generated during severe accident is essential for nuclear safety. In turn, this is related to oxidation correlation applied. One of the main tasks of the QUENCH-12 experiment is to investigate the hydrogen generation in VVER test bundle. The aim of this work is to perform a sensitivity study of RELAP/SCDAPSIM mod3.5+IUA oxidation models used in QUENCH-12 simulations. Calculations are made using a model with 20 axial layers. The results show good agreement with measured data.
