Title: Greenhouse Gas Emissions Assessment After Renewable Energy Sources Implementation In Bulgarian Grid-Connected Single-Family Houses By HOMER Pro Software
Keywords: Hybrid power systems , Greenhouse effect , Batteries , Renew

Abstract: Based on a previous publication, this article offers an analysis of the application of renewable energy sources in households in Bulgaria and their impact on the environment in terms of greenhouse gas emissions. A comparison was made between hybrid energy systems operating on the territory of Bulgaria, in the presence of energy storage with Li-ion batteries. A hybrid energy system has been built up to power a single-family house. The greenhouse gas emissions of the system in single-family houses were investigated. Long-term continuous implementation of the hybrid renewable energy system was simulated using HOMER Pro software and was discussed. The proposed hybrid energy system aims to show the amount of greenhouse gas emission reduction by single-family house implementation. This article provides recommendations on the number of harmful emissions, carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) and nitrogen oxides (NO X ) that can be reduced by using a hybrid power supply system (solar and wind) in the presen
