Abstract: The time mutability method allows estimation of drift velocity of stochastic objects basing on sequences of their images. A procedure for constructing and selecting rotational radial-sections from two-dimensional images through which a velocity field can be constructed is proposed. The constructed sections are applied to determine the velocity field of a cloud field based on a series of its two-dimensional images. Numerical examples, illustrated by graphic material, have been shown.
