Abstract: The paper presents an experimental testbed environment for analysis of protocols and processes in body sensors networks. It consists of an embedded gateway and a set of wireless sensors. The embedded gateway is equipped with various communication interfaces including Ethernet, WLAN, Bluetooth, and ZigBee. It is responsible for coordination of the sensor network, collection of sensor readings, local processing over data, and data presentation through Internet. Sensors included in the testbed consist of both off-the-shelf products and emulated wireless sensors. The ready-made sensors produce real-life data, while the emulated wireless sensors are useful for analysis of parameters of the different communication interfaces used in the testbed environment. The presentation of the data is based on Web services thus facilitating integration of the collected data within existing health information systems and new applications
