Abstract: This paper presents voltage stability analysis of Kosovo power system local area including the 35kV overhead power line from Substation(SS) Prizreni 110/35/10kV to SS Dragashi 35/10kV. In this work, the maximum load capability limit is determined using several static analysis methods. Initially, the maximum limit is calculated using the P-V and Q-V curve methods. Then in order to find out the causes of voltage instability a modal analysis is performed to identify the critical buses and branches using their nodal and branch participation factors.
