Title: Dimming of street lighting systems with current reactive energy control Keywords: Active energy, Electricity distribution companies, LED lightAbstract: The report analyzes the behavior of the lighting load for street lighting during dimming. There are classical installations with HLVH and new-with LED lights. For both types of equipment, the power factor becomes worse when dimmed-when dimming from 100 to 50% for the first 0.95> PF >0.6 for the second -0.96 > PF >-0.8. And if in the first case the increase in the price of active energy is not high (sanctions in percent of the so-calLED cosine-fi tariff if PF <0.9), in the case of the second type the reactive energy is sold by the electricity distribution companies at the same cost as the active.
