Abstract: In the work was studied the possibility of production of foam based on aluminum alloy and calcium carbonate. Foaming is carried out by direct addition of the foaming agent in the molten metal by high-speed stirring. As a result, a foamed metal with closed unevenly distributed pores is obtained which is electrically conductive and has a density of 0.47 g / cm3 (floats in water)
