Title: Modeling activity zone road transport container terminal in the port Keywords: container terminal, road transport, modeling Abstract: The article presents mathematical and computer modeling of operational activities in the land (road) transport area of a port container terminal. The object of the study is the logistic processes of servicing trucks, considered as a key element of the combined transport chain (water-land environment). Based on the systems approach, the truck processing area is decomposed and analyzed independently as a multi-channel mass service system with non-priority waiting. By defining the main elements — incoming flow of requests, service devices (cranes and ramps) and queues — an analytical model is compiled for assessing functional relationships and load characteristics. The results of the model allow for the prediction of vehicle dwell times, optimization of terminal throughput and effective traffic management in the port node in order to avoid congestion. Keywords: container terminal, road transport, modeling, mass service systems, logistics, port area.
