Title: 2D problems in magneto-electro-elastic materials with a nano-crack
Keywords: MEEM, Nano-crack, Gurtin-Murdoch model, BIEM

Abstract: Magneto-electro-elastic composite materials with a nano-crack, subjected to SH waves are considered here. Gurtin-Murdoch theory is used for the problem formulation. The fundamental solution of the governing equation of motion is obtained analytically via Radon transform. The method of solution is the boundary integral equation method (BIEM), which is first verified against benchmark examples and subsequently applied for numerical simulations. Program code in Mathematica is developed for the numerical solution. Numerical simulations reveal the dependence of the dynamic stress concentration field on the coupled nature of the active composite material, characteristics of the incident wave, size of the nano-crack, surface and bulk material properties
