Abstract: Innovative modular system with CNC is developed. The main parameters of the system, the implementation options, and the capabilities for control based on an industrial programmable controller are presented. The modular system allows for arc welding using a wide range of methods, e.g. GMA welding, TIG welding, Plasma welding, HLA welding. The system has a wide range of capabilities and can be used for welding and surfacing in fabrication of welded constructions, in preventive and repair surfacing, research purposes, weldability tests of new materials, comparison of welding methods and accumulation of technological data base, and in development of new technologies
