Abstract: The correct determination of the synchronous inductances Ld and Lq of a claw pole alternator is an important task, due to their influence on the operation of the machine. The aim of this work is to use different computational, analytical and experimental methods for the determination of these inductances. The values of the synchronous inductances, obtained by the different methods are compared and the experimental results show acceptable accuracy.
