Abstract: This article is a thermographic study of the disk brake system of a passenger vehicle. Under controlled conditions, a series of images were obtained at a TU-Sofia laboratory. Image points are selected by analyzing the temperature field distribution. We have explored the possibilities of applying such an analysis in chassis dynamometer tests and the possibilities of applying it in smart vehicle applications have been explored.
