Abstract: This paper presents an inexpensive photocatalytic reactor for rapid screening of supported photocatalyst activity. The photocatalytic activity is measured in liquid-phase, based on the removal rate of Methylene blue dye. Three reaction cells are combined for simultaneous triplicate runs and Methylene blue dye concentration is monitored in situ via laser colorimetry. 3D-printed and off-the-shelf optical and electronic components were used in the device construction. The photocatalytic reactor may find applications in photocatalyst research for water decontamination.
