Abstract: The end-use properties of polyester non-woven geotextiles can be determined by glow direct current plasma functionalization and ion-exchange activation. Plasma activation may be both the end-step for acquiring ion-exchange activation and a preliminary step in a chemical grafting for ion-exchangers creating, incorporation of particles, electrospun nanofibers or electrosputterd metal. Plasma activation may be related both production of nonwoven geotextiles with soil-friendly properties and non-woven ion exchangers for water purification and conditioning.
