Abstract: This study demonstrates the possibility of silver layer fabrication on nanoporous anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) by electroless deposition without preactivating of the surface. Scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy were used to observe the layer morphology and the silver penetration into AAO respectively. The kinetics of the chemical deposition on the nanoporous surface as well as the influence of the silver thickness on the sheet resistance of obtained layers were established.
