    Title: Method for examination of forces in but single pass arc welded joint

    Abstract: A method for computational examination of temperature field and forces in but arc welding is developed in the paper. The construction of an experimental device for measuring of thermal cycles in particular points and forces with combined dynamometer is described. A computer model of not steady state thermal, stress and strain fields in but welded rectangular plates with thickness of 4 mm is developed with FEM software (ANSYS). The computational and experimental results are compared. It is shown that the developed procedure can be used for examination of temperature field and forces in but welding.
