Абстракт: The paper deals with method and test rig for measurement of profile of camshaft cams. The method is based on original way of determination of the angular position of the shaft by means of a laser device. A modern mathematical algorithm has been used for the processing of the experimental data. The obtained results were subjected to a detailed analysis. The method, the test rig and the procedure of handling with it can be successfully used in research and development tasks and for assessment of the technical state of the profile outline of cams both for new camshafts and for those being in long-term service.
