Abstract: A magnetron dielectric barrier microdischarge plasma system is created by DBD burning in permanent magnetic field. Its volt-ampere technological characteristics are investigated in this paper. DBDs are the basic technological discharges producing cold plasma in these conditions used in plasma-chemical surface modification technologies. The Magnetron Dielectric Barrier Discharge (MDBD) is a similar form of the well known Dielectric Barrier Discharge that ignite and burn at atmospheric pressure and room temperature under industrial frequency. The influence of air gap size upon external volt-ampere characteristic is investigated at constant magnetic field.
