Abstract: Dielectric barrier discharges that burn at atmospheric pressure and industrial frequency (50/60 Hz) are a good technological alternative to the RF- and glow discharges at low pressure (vacuum). The present investigation offers a new approach aiming at the creation of a new magnetron dielectric barrier dis-charge plasma system, intended for plasma-chemical treatment of low energy surface porous materials.
