Abstract: Increased scientific and technological efforts have been made recently to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions in the environment as a main cause of the global warming. The general trend is using Renewable Energy Sources. The aim of the present work is a brief review of the advantages of the hybrid thermal systems (HTS) using Renewable Energy Sources. The article presents methods and instruments for mathematical modeling and simulations of the main components of the HTS and its operation as a whole.
